Who we are
Business Brokers Hub is a South African business-for-sale marketplace that connects buyers, brokers, and business owners through structured listings, enquiries, messaging, gated document workflows, and broker-led deal processes.
Information we collect
We may collect personal and business information when users register, submit enquiries, create broker or seller profiles, upload documents, accept agreements, request access to protected listing information, or communicate through the platform.
- Identity and contact details.
- Account role, login, approval, and verification information.
- Buyer interest criteria, saved searches, enquiries, and proof-of-funds or qualification documents.
- Seller business-submission information and supporting documents.
- Broker profile, listing, mandate, communication, and referral workflow records.
- Messages, identity reveal requests, deal status records, audit logs, acceptance logs, IP address, user agent, and security records.
How we use information
We process information to operate the marketplace, verify users, support broker-managed listings, route enquiries, manage confidentiality and access gates, record agreement acceptance, support referral and commission workflows, prevent circumvention, improve platform performance, and comply with legal and security obligations.
AI-assisted processing and listing anonymity
Business Brokers Hub may use AI-assisted tools to standardise imported listing information, obscure images and listing data for anonymity, classify industries and regions, assist with administrative review, and improve marketplace search quality. AI-assisted output is used as operational support and does not replace professional broker judgement, user verification, or independent due diligence.
Uploaded documents
Uploaded documents may be used for account approval, buyer qualification, proof-of-funds review, seller-intake review, broker handoff, audit, and dispute-evidence purposes. Users should only upload documents they are authorised to provide and should avoid uploading unnecessary sensitive information.
Sharing of information
We may share information with approved brokers, buyers, sellers, platform administrators, hosting and automation providers, email and storage providers, analytics and security services, professional advisers, regulators, or authorities where required for a legitimate platform workflow, legal obligation, security need, or rights-protection purpose.
Cross-border and third-party processing
Some service providers may process information outside South Africa. Where this occurs, Business Brokers Hub applies reasonable contractual, technical, and organisational safeguards appropriate to the service and risk.
Security and retention
We use reasonable security measures to protect personal information and uploaded documents. No online service is risk-free. Records may be retained for as long as reasonably required for account operation, audit evidence, transaction workflows, legal claims, agreement acceptance records, security, and statutory obligations.
Cookies and analytics
The website may use cookies, analytics, security, and performance technologies to operate the site, understand usage, protect accounts, and improve the marketplace experience. Users can manage browser cookie settings, but some features may not work correctly if essential cookies are disabled.
Your POPIA rights
Data subjects may request access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction, or information about processing, subject to applicable legal, security, audit, and legitimate-retention limitations.
Contact
Privacy and POPIA requests can be directed to Business Brokers Hub through the contact channels published on this website or by emailing privacy@businessforsalehub.co.za.

This notice may be updated when platform workflows, providers, retention requirements, or legal obligations change. Users may be asked to accept or acknowledge the active version where required for protected workflows.
